
IT Assistant
About the Role
The IT Assistant will provide frontline technical support within a call center environment, assisting with system troubleshooting, network support, and workstation management. This role requires a proactive approach to resolving issues quickly to maintain uptime, support agents, and ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
Requirements
Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation
Configuring Microsoft Windows / Server
Maximising network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
Knowledge of Command Prompt and use of commands
Investigating faults in the network
Knowledge of Cisco packet tracker will be an asset
Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
Key Accountabilities
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in the Information Technology area
• Minimum Associate Degree in Computer Science or background in Computer Science / Information Systems
• Prior experience providing IT or technical support in a call center or similar environment will be an asset
